We have the pleasure of caring for horses belonging to revered clients such as: Bear Stables Ltd., Brereton C. Jones, Cavendish Investing, Charles E. Fipke, Gunpowder Farms LLC, Jim and Susan Hill, Richard R. Kennedy, Jim Lawson, Earle I. Mack, Mario Forgione, Eugene Melnyk, William A. Sorokolit, Taylor Made Farm. The late Mel Lawson and his Jim Dandy Stable, Canadian Racing Hall of Fame Inductee and winner of forty six stake races, has been a steadfast Curraghmore client for many years. Vera Simpson′s education in horsemanship was initially developed through the British Horse Society Pony Club. Even today, after years of veterinary (AAEP) conferences, equine nutrition courses, herd health clinics, and continual research, she still has an insatiable enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge. She remains aware of the newest technologies to ensure that all the horses under her care get the very best. This consistent education is complemented by Vera′s innate skill for assessing horse wellness. These two qualities are essential to her success as a herdsman in raising strong, healthy athletes. In addition, Vera is a respected member of the horse racing community within Canada. She has been a member of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society since 1980, holding various positions on the board, including 14 years as provincial director, with terms as provincial vice-president and national director.

Michael Dubé dedicates every day to improving and maintaining Curraghmore Farm. As a young man he apprenticed with his father as a pipe-organ builder until 1986, when he chose to leave that profession to focus on the farm. Mike′s skilled, hands-on experience in the woodworking trade has made him extremely aware of the importance of small details and he insists on getting things done the right way. But, he is also the essential asset when it comes to handling horses. Mike′s calm, steady disposition and his strength and determination makes him adept at handling even the most challenging of horses, particularly the youngsters and stallions. His strength and determination means that no task is too tough.

The highlight of this service is our unparalleled feed program and the certainty that farm owners Vera Simpson and Michael Dubé personally feed, watch over stock and attend every foaling. With their home only steps away from the foaling barn, Vera and Mike are inextricably connected to the workings of the farm; it is their life.

All reputable farms take care of the basics. We believe our superior service and reputation is a result of our concentration on small details.
